Old Radio Shows

If you enjoy old-time radio programs, this is a podcast that you really should check out. It is from WAMU’s radio station in Washington, DC. It airs live on Sunday evenings from 7 to 11 pm, and features shows such as “Johnny Dollar”, “Dragnet” (sounds exactly like the later TV show), “Gunsmoke” (with William Conrad as Matt Dillon) – and a mix of shows like Jack Benny, Father Knows Best, The Life of Riley, George Burns & Gracie Allen, among many others. The podcast is available to listen to for the following week… but unfortunately they don’t archive each broadcast after that week. They even leave in some of the radio commercials for products such as Jello or Maxwell House coffee.
